How can you go wrong with photographing chocolate, right? Well we managed to find a few ways. This goes to show you that while we may make it look easy, product styling is by no feat, easy. It takes a lot of fiddling around, trying different layouts, backgrounds and compositions to get it right.
The first few we took just did not sit right with us. The chocolates were too stark, the compositions boring and flat. We tried different props, tried a slightly darker version and then we realized we had to step back and change the whole scenario.
We were working with chocolate. It had to be dark and moody. We also needed platters which went with that theme to contain the items. And finally we had a win. success.
